ENCLOSURE TERMINOLOGY
BAY – A term describing an assembly of panels that create a single enclosure arch. Photo on right shows a single “Discovery Model” Bay. The optimal length of a bay is 7ʼ so a 6 Bay Enclosure is typically 42ʼ long. Bay length is reduced to 6ʼ or even 5ʼ in high snow load areas.
MODULE – A term used to describe the “operation” of the enclosure bays. A Module can be composed of 1, 2 or 3 Bays that are all the same size, connected together, retract as a unit, and operate on the same SecurTrakTM.
ENCLOSURE SPAN – A term used to describe the “WIDTH” of the enclosure system. For a Free-Standing Model, itʼs the outside width of the largest bays. For a Lean-To Model, itʼs the “projection” from the attachment wall to the outside of the largest bays.
GABLE END WALL – A term used to describe the walls on the ends of an enclosure system. They can be flat or rounded in shape as shown below.
GLAZING – Defined as “panes” or sheets of transparent material set in frames, as in windows or doors, to provide a clear view while maintaining climate control. Itʼs the “glass” part of any window. Polycarbonate is the glazing used in Libart Enclosures because it is 200 times stronger than glass and 7 times lighter. The perfect solution for any structure around pools.
